Green Box supplies 202 prefabricated bathrooms, divided into three types, for a new residential area being developed as part of the transformation of the former Aarhus County Hospital site.

From distinctive hospital area to new homes

For decades, Aarhus County Hospital has been a distinctive and well-known landmark in the city. Today, its historic setting forms the basis for a new residential area, where existing buildings are given new life, and new homes are added in a modern interpretation of the classic architecture of the area.

In Phase 1, Green Box contributes 202 prefabricated bathrooms to Tage Hansens Karré – a project comprising new rental apartments, an underground car park, and retail units.

Prefabricated bathrooms with documentation

Phase 1 will be certified as DGNB 2020 Platinum and is constructed within the framework of the EU Taxonomy. This places great demands on the solutions that form part of the construction project and on the required documentation.

Green Box contributes to ensuring that the prefabricated bathrooms not only meet the functional requirements of the construction project but also form part of the documentation required for the project. The assignment is therefore not only about supplying 202 prefabricated bathrooms, but also about handling the documentation work that comes with a project of this nature.

Simple and modern bathrooms

The upcoming rental apartments in Tage Hansens Karré will feature prefabricated bathrooms with a simple and balanced design that fits naturally into the modern homes. Light-coloured fronts and grey tiles create a calm overall impression, with function and materiality carefully considered as a whole.

The result is contemporary bathrooms that blend naturally into the overall transformation and support the harmonious expression of the new homes.

The project is expected to be completed in January 2028.
