Green Box is supplying 47 prefabricated bathrooms for ‘Æblegården’ – a new cohousing community of owner-occupied homes in Måløv on Zealand, Denmark. EcoVillage is the developer of the project, which is being built to Nordic Swan Ecolabel standards.

Bathrooms for Nordic Swan Ecolabel-certified project

In Måløv, EcoVillage is the developer behind ‘Æblegården’, a cohousing community consisting of new owner-occupied homes and shared facilities. Wanting to make a positive difference for the climate and the environment, the project meets the strict Nordic Swan Ecolabel environmental standards from start to finish.

Green Box is supplying 47 prefabricated bathrooms for the new homes. Scandi Byg is the contractor.

A light and simple bathroom design

The bathroom design is light and understated. Light beige tiles cover the floor and walls in the shower area, while the other wall surfaces are white.

The bathrooms feature, among other things, a wall-mounted toilet, a white vanity unit with an integrated sink, a mirror and chrome fixtures. Transparent glass walls enclose the shower area and enhance the simple, open look.

Controlled production – ready for installation

The bathrooms are manufactured as complete units at the Green Box factory. Here, each work process is carried out under controlled conditions so that quality can be monitored and ensured throughout the production process.

When the bathrooms leave the factory, they are ready for installation on the construction site. This shifts a significant portion of the work on the bathrooms away from the construction site and into a planned production process. This helps ensure consistent quality and a uniform visual style across the project’s 47 bathrooms.
