For contractors
Benefits of building with prefabricated bathrooms
With prefabricated bathrooms, you can reduce construction time, on-site coordination and risk – and in many cases also overall project costs.
The bathrooms are manufactured in a controlled environment, where processes, quality and material usage are standardised. This minimises waste and shortens on-site work, as the units are delivered complete and ready for installation.
Instead of coordinating multiple trades, material deliveries and suppliers for wet room construction, you receive one complete delivery. The bathrooms arrive fully finished and ready to install, reducing interfaces and simplifying planning, logistics and quality assurance.
Each unit is delivered fully wrapped in UV-resistant shrink film and can be stored in the open-shell structure for up to six months without risk of moisture damage. This provides flexibility in terms of installation and project progress. We can also store the finished bathrooms at our facility until they are ready for delivery to site.
“High quality, close dialogue, great flexibility, efficient service and danish production. These are crucial elements for me and some of the main reasons why I switched to using only Green Box bathrooms in my projects several years ago.”
Kasper Ørskov Hede Jensen, Project Manager, Nordstern
Technical benefits for your construction project
Low weight – 325 kg/m2 as standard
Green Box bathrooms are built using a lightweight structure, where only the floor contains a reduced layer of concrete. As standard, the bathrooms have a weight of approximately 325 kg/m².
The low weight reduces the load on the floor structure and, in many projects, makes it possible to work with slimmer structural designs. In some cases, grouting beneath the bathrooms can be avoided, simplifying execution and reducing both construction time and material consumption.

Weight: 325 kg/m2
Low installation height
Green Box bathrooms are developed with a focus on low installation height. The floor construction is optimised to minimise its impact on the floor structure, providing greater flexibility in the design and planning phase.
The low construction height can help reduce the overall thickness of the floor structure and, in some projects, also the total building height. This can have a positive impact on both material consumption and overall project economics.

Installation height: Down to 95 mm
Documented CO2 footprint
Green Box bathrooms have a standard calculated emission of approximately 2.9 kg CO₂ per m² per year.* The low weight and reduced material consumption can – depending on the overall design of the project – contribute to the building’s total carbon footprint.
Documentation can be included in the project’s LCA calculations.
*The calculation is based on standard assumptions and typical usage conditions. Project-specific documentation is available on request.

Documented technical quality
Technical Approval for Use (TGA)
Green Box is the only manufacturer of lightweight, prefabricated bathrooms in Denmark with a Technical Approval for Use (TGA).
The TGA is a voluntary, third-party verified scheme that documents the performance of the prefabricated bathrooms and their compliance with current Danish building regulations – including wet room requirements.
For you as a contractor, this provides access to independently verified documentation that can be incorporated into the project’s overall documentation framework.
Green Box bathrooms – ready for installation
See how Green Box prefabricated bathrooms are delivered from factory to site and handled safely in practice.
The video provides a step-by-step guide to correct blocking, unloading, hoisting and unwrapping. Clear procedures reduce the risk of damage and errors, ensuring an efficient on-site process.
Green Box bathrooms are developed with a focus on simple handling and seamless integration into the construction process. With clear guidelines for delivery and installation, they support progress, quality assurance and a reliable construction workflow.
Robust packaging and flexible delivery
Protection during the shell construction phase
Prefabricated bathrooms are often stored for extended periods in the open shell, where they may be exposed to wind, rain and changing temperatures. Green Box bathrooms are designed with a closed steel structure that protects against weather exposure and prevents water ingress into the construction.
Before dispatch, the entrance is sealed with a fixed wooden panel, and the entire unit is wrapped in heavy-duty, UV-resistant shrink film. This allows the bathrooms to be stored in the open shell for up to six months – even under varying weather conditions.
We store the finished bathrooms at our own facilities until they are required for the project. From here, we can deliver to construction sites at short notice.
This means you do not need to install the bathrooms immediately upon delivery. They can remain protected in the open shell until the project is ready, providing flexibility in planning and allowing installation timing to be adjusted if the schedule changes.
High quality and full traceability
Digital quality assurance is an integral part of Green Box’s production. All workflows are systematically recorded and controlled throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring consistent quality from the first bathroom to the last.
The digital documentation supports the contractor’s quality assurance processes and provides a solid basis for handover and regulatory inspections.
Access to documentation via QR code
Documentation requirements in modern construction are extensive. That is why we collect all relevant documentation for each individual bathroom digitally and make it easily accessible.
Via a QR code, you gain direct access to quality control records, material documentation and relevant approvals. This ensures full traceability before, during and after delivery – and simplifies quality assurance, handover and operation.
BATHROOMS WITH A FOCUS ON RESOURCE EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY
Green Box prefabricated bathrooms are built using a lightweight structure, where only the floor contains a reduced layer of concrete. This reduces the overall material consumption and dead load compared to heavier solutions, e.g. traditional concrete pods.
All materials used in the production of Green Box bathrooms are approved for use in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled construction, and the bathrooms can be supplied for projects certified under schemes such as DGNB and BREEAM.
As a standard, Green Box bathrooms have a calculated carbon emission of approximately 2.9 kg CO₂ per m² per year.* This figure can be included in the project’s LCA documentation and should be assessed in relation to the specific building.
*The calculation is based on standard assumptions and typical usage conditions. Project-specific documentation is available on request.
