In Vestby, south of Oslo, a new residential area is emerging where architecture, community and sustainability go hand in hand. Developed by Nåbo in collaboration with contractor Veidekke, the Gartneritaket project represents a new generation of urban housing with a focus on green solutions, shared facilities and a vibrant local environment. Green Box contributes to the project with 149 prefabricated bathrooms.

Name with green history

The name Gartneritaket (the rooftop garden) is no coincidence. The area is located on the site where Vestby’s old nurseries supplied flowers and vegetables to both the local area and Oslo for many years. Today, this legacy continues in a new form. Where plants used to grow in greenhouses, a modern residential area is now emerging that builds on the same green values and connection to nature.

Gartneritaket is planned as a varied residential area with apartments of several sizes, where all residents will have access to lush common areas, roof gardens and greenhouses. The project is inspired by the idea of the green community and creates the framework for an everyday life where nature and neighbourliness play the main roles. Built in stages, the apartments combine modern comfort with architectural details and materials that reflect the Nordic building style.

For Gartneritaket, Green Box delivers 149 prefabricated bathrooms that become an integral part of the new apartments. The bathrooms are designed specifically for the project to fit the architecture and match the modern look and high material standards of the apartments.

The result is bathrooms that are bright, functional and inviting – a natural extension of the apartments’ modern aesthetic. Delivery is carefully planned in close collaboration with the developer and contractor to ensure an efficient and predictable construction process.

Once installation work begins, the bathrooms will be delivered directly to the construction site – prefabricated and ready for installation. The prefabricated solution makes on-site work faster, more resource-efficient and ensures consistent quality across the entire construction project.
