Green Box supplies 167 prefabricated bathrooms for ambitious low-emission housing project setting new standards for sustainable housing in Denmark.

Denmark’s most climate-friendly multi-storey building

A new housing project in Høje Taastrup C is expected to become one of Denmark’s most climate-friendly multi-storey buildings. The project boasts approximately 162 homes on six floors and has been developed by the real estate company Home.Earth with a clear ambition to significantly reduce the total climate footprint of the building.

The project is based on a modular approach, where the load-bearing structures consist of wood, steel and bio-based materials. The goal is a documented annual climate impact of less than 4.0 kg CO2 per m2 per year – significantly below the current annual limit value of 7.4 kg CO2 per m2 stated in the Danish Building Regulations.

The building is part of the overall development of Høje Taastrup C, where the developer, the municipality and collaboration partners work to create a modern and climate-friendly residential area with a focus on functionality, community and low emissions.

Prefabricated solutions from Green Box

As a supplier to the project, Green Box supplies 167 prefabricated bathroom modules for the new homes. The series-produced solutions are designed to support an efficient and quality-assured construction process where standardisation and a controlled production process contribute to shorter construction time and less material waste on site.

The ready-to-install bathrooms are integrated as a key part of the homes – a concrete example of how industrial prefabrication can support modern and climate-friendly housing.

The modular approach also allows for a high-pace construction process. The first stage is expected to be completed in February 2027, while the entire project will be completed later that same year, when all apartments are ready for occupation.
