The extension and modernisation of Thon Hotel Horten is underway in the Norwegian town of Horten. The old Grand Hotel part of the building is being demolished and replaced by a new, modern hotel wing on the same site. Green Box is supplying 98 prefabricated bathrooms for the new wing.

Modern hotel in the heart of Horten

The extension of Thon Hotel Horten is being eagerly awaited. The existing capacity of the hotel has long not been sufficient to keep up with demand, with many people trying in vain to book rooms at the centrally located hotel.

The new hotel wing adds 98 new rooms spread over five floors, bringing the hotel capacity to a total of 186 rooms. The construction project thus involves both a capacity expansion and an urban development boost in the centre of Horten. 

When the project has been completed, Horten will have a modern hotel right in the town centre, which will contribute with new meeting places, increased activity and attractive overnight accommodation facilities for business travellers, tourists and local guests.

Prefabricated bathrooms for hotel extension

For the new hotel wing, Green Box is supplying 98 prefabricated bathrooms tailored to the architecture, functionality and operation of the project.
