In 2026, the new Comfort Hotel Grimstad will open its doors in the heart of Sørlandet Technology Park – a growing hub for innovation and education in Grimstad, close to the University of Agder and Agder Vocational School.

Hotel profile as the city’s new meeting point

The new eight-storey hotel will have 130 rooms and offers modern facilities such as restaurant, meeting rooms, fitness room and a so-called ‘Barception’ – a combined bar and reception.

Suites with panoramic views of the city and sea will be established on the top floor. The hotel will almost double the number of hotel rooms in Grimstad and is an important part of the development of both the city and the Technology Park.

The hotel will be part of the Comfort chain under the Strawberry Group and is being constructed by Campus Hotel AS.

Efficient construction process with prefabricated bathrooms

Green Box supplies 132 prefabricated bathrooms to the project, divided into four different versions, adapted to the layout and size of the rooms.

The walls are covered with small white square tiles, while the floors feature slightly larger sand-colored tiles. In the walk-in shower, the design is varied with vertically arranged elongated tiles in white, dark brown, and light brown.

Using prefabricated modules ensures high quality, a uniform finish and efficient progress in the construction phase. The Green Box solution also contributes to a more resource-efficient construction process with reduced need for handling of materials and assembly work on site as well as less waste.

The hotel is expected to become a major player in Grimstad’s development and an attractive meeting point for business travellers, tourists and local visitors.
