Serinedalen

Serinedalen is being constructed in Malling south of Aarhus as a new residential area with social housing units and with focus on nature, community and an ambition to create buildings with a reduced carbon footprint. Green Box contributes to the project with prefabricated bathrooms delivered as a complete solution ready for installation in the new homes.

Bathrooms that support efficient turnkey construction

Serinedalen is being developed as a cohousing community with homes for both families and senior citizens and with communal facilities. The homes are fitted with Green Box bathrooms with a calm and timeless look: a neutral and harmonious colour scheme with white-painted walls, tiles on the floor and in the shower enclosure as well as a white interior. The result is a simple and functional design that is a good match for the everyday life of the modern family.

In a turnkey project where many homes and repetitions need to be coordinated, prefabrication can contribute to more predictable processes and consistent deliverables across the construction project. At the same time, much of the production is moved away from the construction site, typically resulting in better process control, fewer interfaces and a smoother assembly and installation process – an advantage in a large-scale residential construction project with many housing units.

A residential area with nature, community and focus on climate footprint

Serinedalen is located in scenic surroundings with forest and river views and is conceived as a close link between nature and everyday community. The buildings will be constructed with wood as the main material in structures and facades and will focus on resource optimisation and solutions aimed at reducing the overall climate impact.

The project, which comprises 92 social housing units and a total area of approximately 8,544 m², is expected to be completed in 2027.
