The UN’s 17 Sustainable development goals

A common language for responsible development
For many companies, the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals have become a common language and a practical framework for working with the climate, health and social issues. At Green Box, we use the SDGs to guide our strategic focus and set the direction of our daily operations.
We have chosen to focus in particular on SDGs 9 and 12 – where our products and processes can make a real difference.
#9 – Industry, innovation and infrastructure
At Green Box, we see industrial innovation and responsible manufacturing as an important part of tomorrow’s construction projects.
We have chosen to locate our production in Denmark – a strategic choice that enables us to produce prefabricated bathrooms with a focus on quality, stable working conditions and short transport distances to construction sites.
Danish production as a strategic choice
Energy in Denmark is based on a high proportion of renewable power, while easy access to efficient waste systems supports our ambitions of having a smaller climate footprint and better resource utilisation.
Efficient transport and climate focus
At the same time, the geographical location of our facilities means shorter distances to customers and construction projects, which can help reduce the carbon impact of our transport activities. According to our own measurements, a truck carrying Green Box bathrooms emits approx. 0.883 kg CO₂/km.*
In 2020, Green Box conducted a screening of the company’s Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions, and is today continuing its efforts to reduce its overall impact through specific initiatives in production and the value chain.

#12 – Responsible consumption and production
Green Box works systematically to optimise material consumption and minimise waste in production and during installation.
Our standardised production process provides a complete overview of material consumption while also enabling efficient planning and waste sorting. Plasterboard, for example, is cut to size by the supplier, and residual materials are recycled in production.
Certification and digital production
We use materials that meet the requirements for use in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled construction projects, and our bathrooms can be used in e.g. DGNB and BREEAM-certified projects.
Our digital production set-up means that quality control and documentation take place electronically. Today, we have reduced our annual paper consumption by more than 30,000 sheets and ensured greater transparency in our quality assurance through QR-coded traceability for each bathroom.
