Innovative design for new builds and renovations
Bathrooms of the future for your construction project
At Green Box, we take an innovative approach, and we are constantly challenging ourselves in order to lead the way in developing and producing prefabricated/modular bathrooms for the professional market.
We are striving to help make the construction industry more resource-aware and develop solutions that support a more streamlined and efficient construction process. Our solutions are designed to optimise both time consumption and material usage in construction. By manufacturing bathrooms under controlled conditions, we can ensure consistently high quality while minimising errors and corrective work. Our bathrooms are produced in parallel with your construction project. This saves time on site and can help reduce the overall construction time.
This is why we call our bathrooms the BATHROOMS OF THE FUTURE.
Our prefabricated bathrooms are just as often called prefab bathrooms, modular bathrooms, shower pods or bathroom pods – but the principle is the same, namely a fully finished bathroom produced under controlled conditions and delivered ready for installation at the construction site.
On this page, we have gathered a wealth of useful information about our Danish-made bathrooms – about their design and the choice of materials, the production process and the advantages offered by prefabrication.
Easy and flexible fitting of prefabricated bathrooms
Green Box has developed a range of fixtures for our prefabricated/modular bathrooms. We have done so to make it even easier for our customers to design bathrooms to match project-specific needs and requirements.
We have chosen thoroughly tested materials and solutions from recognised suppliers and divided them into two series – ready to pick from. Choose or combine fixtures from the two series Green Box Standard and Green Box Premium.
Great flexibility and strength
Lightweight design with technical advantages
Green Box bathrooms are innovatively designed lightweight constructions offering considerable flexibility and strength as well as a range of technical advantages.
The lightweight bathrooms feature a reduced concrete layer in the floors, which is the only concrete used, allowing for slimmer designs and separating floors in buildings. The floor design of Green Box prefabricated bathrooms also ensures a low recessed installation height – as low as 95 mm.
The lightweight construction and low weight allow for easier handling and transport, and can help reduce the overall environmental impact of construction projects. According to in-house life cycle calculations, a standard Green Box bathroom emits approx. 2.9 kg CO₂/m²/year.
We are continually working to optimise our solutions and production processes. In our production, we use materials that are approved for use in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled construction, and our bathrooms can be used in DGNB-certified construction projects.

“We’re at the forefront, working to become the preferred supplier of prefabricated bathrooms for the construction of the future.“

Advantages of green box
At Green Box, we have been developing prefabricated bathrooms made in Denmark since 2014. Our bathrooms feature an innovative lightweight construction with materials that are approved for use in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled buildings and which can be used in DGNB-certified construction projects.
Our digital quality assurance system gives you online access to all relevant documentation and QA material throughout the project.
Quality asurance and traceability
At Green Box, you get full transparency, so you can always see the current status of your prefabricated/modular bathrooms.
This gives you the best prerequisites for performing your building project in accordance with the project plan.
Danish-made bathrooms
Ever since we developed and produced the first bathroom pod, we have produced our bathrooms in Denmark. That has not changed.
The only thing that is different today is that we have moved to much larger production facilities and produce approx. 4,000 bathrooms a year.
Documented materials and quality
All materials used in our production meet the highest standards – both in terms of their durability and traceability.
We choose materials which are documented as being suitable for certified construction projects, including environmental impact information such as EPDs etc.

In-depth design planning and clarification before production
Green Box delivers quality bathrooms that help our customers optimise the overall construction process and save both time and coordination at the construction site.
To ensure that all bathrooms are produced as a perfect match for each individual project, we always carry out in-depth design planning work together with our customers. As experts in prefabricated bathrooms, we draw on vast experience and we offer competent advice that helps create the best possible bathroom solution.
We jointly clarify all desired finishes and fittings and also define all technical details so that they match the other installations of the construction project. Once everything has been clarified, the bathroom pods are drawn in 3D. We draw everything down to the smallest detail, and the drawings are used directly in our production. This ensures that sockets, fixtures etc. are placed exactly as designed.
Together with our customers, we follow an established process that provides the necessary time for detailed processing of all drawing material, which is ultimately approved by the client before production start-up.
Meet Kim
Project manager – a driving force and a knowledge bank rolled into one
After the contract is signed, all projects at Green Box are transferred from our sales department to the project department. Here, our project managers are ready to lead each project safely and efficiently all the way through to completion. One of them is Kim.
For all the project parties involved – from contractors and consultants to subcontractors and architects – our project managers are the regular points of contact when it comes to advising on and deciding about all the details and materials that need to be considered before the first prefabricated bathroom goes into production.
A background as a plumber/heating engineer/constructing architect as well as experience from both the worlds of engineering and architecture provide a solid foundation for the role of project manager at Green Box. It ensures valuable knowledge and insights into the many trades involved in producing a bathroom as well as a unique understanding of all the stakeholders in a project. From our customers’ point of view, it gives them considerable peace of mind knowing that their regular contact knows what he or she is talking about, and that they can also assume responsibility for coordinating the project down to the smallest detail.
The production of prefabricated bathrooms involves a lot of effort and planning at the outset, but once all the details and decisions are agreed on, our customers save an incredible amount of coordination and time during the construction phase. This allows them to rest easy knowing that everything will fall into place when the finished bathroom is ready to be installed at the construction site. By then, all the customer has to think about is connecting the water, heating and electricity etc. as well as fitting the surrounding wall panels.
