Prefabricated bathrooms

Innovative design for new builds and renovations

Bathrooms of the future for your construction project

At Green Box, we take an innovative approach, and we are constantly challenging ourselves in order to lead the way in developing and producing prefabricated/modular bathrooms for the professional market.

We are striving to help make the construction industry more resource-aware and develop solutions that support a more streamlined and efficient construction process. Our solutions are designed to optimise both time consumption and material usage in construction. By manufacturing bathrooms under controlled conditions, we can ensure consistently high quality while minimising errors and corrective work. Our bathrooms are produced in parallel with your construction project. This saves time on site and can help reduce the overall construction time.

This is why we call our bathrooms the BATHROOMS OF THE FUTURE.

Our prefabricated bathrooms are just as often called prefab bathrooms, modular bathrooms, shower pods or bathroom pods – but the principle is the same, namely a fully finished bathroom produced under controlled conditions and delivered ready for installation at the construction site.

On this page, we have gathered a wealth of useful information about our Danish-made bathrooms – about their design and the choice of materials, the production process and the advantages offered by prefabrication.

Danish-made bathrooms

Ever since we developed and produced the first bathroom pod, we have produced our bathrooms in Denmark. That has not changed.

The only thing that is different today is that we have moved to much larger production facilities and produce more than 4,000 bathrooms a year.

Lightweight bathroom with strong wall structure

The walls of a prefabricated bathroom from Green Box are made of hot-dip galvanised steel cassettes covered with large-format fibre gypsum boards. This results in great strength and stability.

Documented materials and quality

All materials used in our production meet the highest standards – both in terms of their durability and traceability.

We choose materials which are documented as being suitable for certified construction projects, including environmental impact information such as EPDs etc.

Great flexibility and strength

Lightweight design with technical advantages

Green Box bathrooms are innovatively designed lightweight constructions offering considerable flexibility and strength as well as a range of technical advantages.

The lightweight bathrooms feature a reduced concrete layer in the floors, which is the only concrete used, allowing for slimmer designs and separating floors in buildings. The floor design of Green Box prefabricated bathrooms also ensures a low recessed installation height – as low as 95 mm.

The lightweight construction and low weight allow for easier handling and transport, and can help reduce the overall environmental impact of construction projects.

According to in-house life cycle calculations, a standard Green Box bathroom emits approx. 2.9 kg CO₂/m²/year.

We continually work to optimise our solutions and production processes. In our production, we use only materials approved for use in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled construction, and our bathrooms are suitable for green building-certified projects, including BREEAM and DGNB.

“Green Box delivers on its promises and acts professionally throughout the entire process – from sales and design to production and delivery. They have dedicated project managers and provide clear, high-quality drawings and 3D models of the bathrooms. In-depth planning and clarification before production

Green Box delivers high-quality bathroom solutions that help our customers optimise the overall construction process while saving time and reducing on-site coordination.

To ensure that every bathroom is produced as a perfect fit for each individual project, we work closely with our customers throughout an in-depth design and planning phase. As specialists in prefabricated bathrooms, we draw on extensive experience and provide expert guidance to help create the best possible bathroom solution.

Together, we define all finishes, fittings and technical details to ensure seamless integration with the project’s other building services. Once everything has been clarified, the bathroom pods are developed in detailed 3D drawings. Every component is specified down to the smallest detail, and the drawings are used directly in production, ensuring that sockets, fixtures and fittings are positioned exactly as designed.

Our established process allows sufficient time for thorough coordination and detailed review of all drawings. Final designs are approved by the client before production begins, ensuring accuracy, quality and a smooth execution.

Design & Planning from A to Z

A structured process for prefabricated bathrooms

At Green Box, we work with a proven and well-documented design and planning process that ensures all decisions are made and quality-assured before serial production begins. The process consists of six stages and is always carried out in close collaboration with the client and the project’s other stakeholders.

Once the contract has been signed, the project is transferred from the sales department to our project department. Here, one of our experienced project managers takes over as the project’s dedicated point of contact and knowledge hub throughout the entire process.

The project manager acts as the central coordinator for all parties involved – contractor, consultants, architects and subcontractors – ensuring that all technical, aesthetic and practical aspects are clarified before the first prefabricated bathroom enters production.
