Prefabricated bathrooms

Innovative design for new construction and renovation

The bathrooms of the future for your building project

At Green Box, we think innovatively and we are constantly challenging ourselves, so that we can be at the forefront of the development and production of the market’s preferred prefabricated bathrooms.

We strive to contribute to a more resource-conscious construction industry by developing solutions that can support an optimized construction process. Our solutions are designed to optimize both time consumption and material use in construction. By producing bathrooms under controlled conditions, we can ensure uniform, high quality and reduce waste. Our bathrooms are produced in parallel with your construction. It saves time and resources on the construction site and can significantly reduce construction time.

That is why we call our bathrooms “THE BATHROOMS OF THE FUTURE”.

On this page, we have gathered a lot of useful information about our Danish-produced bathrooms – from construction and material to the production process and the advantages of prefabrication.

Design your bathrooms easily and flexibly

Green Box has developed a range of fixtures for our prefabricated bathrooms. We have done this to make it even easier for our customers to design a bathroom that matches project-specific needs and requirements.

We have chosen thoroughly-tested materials and solutions from recognised suppliers and sorted them into two series – ready to pick from. Choose or combine fixtures from the two series Green Box Standard and Green Box Premium.

Great flexibility and strength

Lightweight design with building technical advantages

Green Box bathrooms have been developed around an innovative lightweight design that gives great flexibility and provides a large number of building technical advantages.

The light bathrooms only contain a reduced concrete layer in the floors, which enables significantly slimmer structures and floor separations in the construction. The floor design in Green Box prefabricated bathrooms also ensures you a low installation height – as low as 95 mm.

The lightweight design and low weight reduce the overall carbon footprint of the bathrooms compared to conventional and much heavier concrete pods. Calculations show that our bathrooms as standard have a CO₂ emission of only approx. 3 kg CO₂/m²/year.

We continously work to optimise our solutions and production proceses, and consideration for the environment is an integral part of the way we work. In our production, we therefore only use materials that are approved for Nordic Swan Ecolabelled construction, and our solutions can be delivered to DGNB-certified construction.

Danish production

Ever since we developed and produced the first bathroom pod, we have produced our bathrooms in Denmark. That has not changed.

The only thing that is different today is that we have moved to much larger production facilities and produce approx. 4,000 bathrooms a year.

Lightweight bathroom with strong wall structure

The walls of a prefabricated bathroom from Green Box are made of hot-dip galvanised steel cassettes covered with large-format fibre gypsum boards. This results in great strength and stability.

Strong top-quality structure

We make high demands on the quality of the materials we use in the production of our prefabricated bathrooms.

This applies to durability, the environmental footprint of the materials and documentation.

In-depth design planning and clarification before production

Green Box delivers quality bathrooms that help our customers optimise the overall construction process and save both time and coordination at the construction site.

To ensure that all bathrooms are produced as a perfect match for each individual project, we always carry out in-depth design planning work together with our customers. As experts in prefabricated bathrooms, we draw on vast experience and we offer competent advice that helps create the best possible bathroom solution.

We jointly clarify all desired finishes and fittings and also define all technical details so that they match the other installations of the construction project. Once everything has been clarified, the bathroom pods are drawn in 3D. We draw everything down to the smallest detail, and the drawings are used directly in our production. This ensures that sockets, fixtures etc. are placed exactly as designed.

Together with our customers, we follow an established process that provides the necessary time for detailed processing of all drawing material, which is ultimately approved by the client before production start-up.

Meet Kim

Project manager – a driving force and a knowledge bank rolled into one

After the contract is signed, all projects at Green Box are transferred from our sales department to the project department. Here, our project managers are ready to lead each project safely and efficiently all the way through to completion. One of them is Kim.

For all the project parties involved – from contractors and consultants to subcontractors and architects – our project managers are the regular points of contact when it comes to advising on and deciding about all the details and materials that need to be considered before the first prefabricated bathroom goes into production.

A background as a plumber/heating engineer/constructing architect as well as experience from both the worlds of engineering and architecture provide a solid foundation for the role of project manager at Green Box. It ensures valuable knowledge and insights into the many trades involved in producing a bathroom as well as a unique understanding of all the stakeholders in a project. From our customers’ point of view, it gives them considerable peace of mind knowing that their regular contact knows what he or she is talking about, and that they can also assume responsibility for coordinating the project down to the smallest detail.

The production of prefabricated bathrooms involves a lot of effort and planning at the outset, but once all the details and decisions are agreed on, our customers save an incredible amount of coordination and time during the construction phase. This allows them to rest easy knowing that everything will fall into place when the finished bathroom is ready to be installed at the construction site. By then, all the customer has to think about is connecting the water, heating and electricity etc. as well as fitting the surrounding wall panels.
