Danish-made bathrooms

Ever since we developed and produced the first bathroom pod, we have produced our bathrooms in Denmark. That has not changed.

The only thing that is different today is that we have moved to much larger production facilities and produce more than 4,000 bathrooms a year.

Lightweight bathroom with strong wall structure

The walls of a prefabricated bathroom from Green Box are made of hot-dip galvanised steel cassettes covered with large-format fibre gypsum boards. This results in great strength and stability.

Documented materials and quality

All materials used in our production meet the highest standards – both in terms of their durability and traceability.

We choose materials which are documented as being suitable for certified construction projects, including environmental impact information such as EPDs etc.

Approvals and transparency

Green Box bathrooms meet a number of relevant approvals and standards – including TGA approval and requirements for use in certified construction projects.

This ensures transparency for our customers as well as access to documentation on the suitability of the bathrooms.

A contribution to more efficient use of resources

Responsibility and consideration in construction

At Green Box, we take responsibility for the way we develop and manufacture our prefabricated bathrooms – with consideration for both people and the environment. We work systematically to reduce material waste, optimise processes and document our environmental impact.

In our experience, prefabrication can contribute to more efficient resource use and fewer on-site errors compared to conventional in situ construction.

A documented lightweight bathroom solution

Reduced material use and controlled production

Green Box bathrooms are developed using a lightweight construction with a reduced concrete layer in the floor. The lower weight reduces material consumption and makes transportation less energy-intensive.

According to an internal, third-party verified LCA calculation, our bathrooms have a standard carbon footprint of approximately 2.9 kg CO₂ per m² per year.

We use materials that comply with the requirements for Nordic Swan Ecolabel construction, and our bathrooms can be adapted to meet the criteria of a range of certification schemes – including DGNB and BREEAM.
