Advantages of green box

At Green Box, we have been developing prefabricated bathrooms made in Denmark since 2014. Our bathrooms feature an innovative lightweight construction with materials that are approved for use in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled buildings and which can be used in DGNB-certified construction projects.

Our digital quality assurance system gives you online access to all relevant documentation and QA material throughout the project.

Quality asurance and traceability

At Green Box, you get full transparency, so you can always see the current status of your prefabricated/modular bathrooms.

This gives you the best prerequisites for performing your building project in accordance with the project plan.

Danish-made bathrooms

Ever since we developed and produced the first bathroom pod, we have produced our bathrooms in Denmark. That has not changed.

The only thing that is different today is that we have moved to much larger production facilities and produce approx. 4,000 bathrooms a year.

Lightweight bathroom with strong wall structure

The walls of a prefabricated bathroom from Green Box are made of hot-dip galvanised steel cassettes covered with large-format fibre gypsum boards. This results in great strength and stability.

Documented materials and quality

All materials used in our production meet the highest standards – both in terms of their durability and traceability.

We choose materials which are documented as being suitable for certified construction projects, including environmental impact information such as EPDs etc.

Approvals and transparency

Green Box bathrooms meet a number of relevant approvals and standards – including TGA approval and requirements for use in certified construction projects.

This ensures transparency for our customers as well as access to documentation on the suitability of the bathrooms.

Responsibility and care in construction

A contribution to efficient resource utilisation and lower environmental impact

At Green Box, we take responsibility for the way in which we run our company – caring for both people and the environment. This applies to our collaboration with employees, suppliers and customers, and in the choices we make in connection with bathroom design, materials selection and bathroom production.

We are continually working to develop solutions that support a more efficient construction process with less material waste, reduced CO₂ emissions and with fewer errors and corrective procedures on site. In our experience, prefabrication is a method that can help optimise resource consumption and reduce the environmental impact – compared to conventional in situ construction.

Green Box prefabricated bathrooms are developed with a focus on process optimisation and reduced weight. The construction is based on lightweight materials, and only contains concrete in the floor element, reducing the total amount of materials used and making transport less energy-intensive.

According to our own calculations, our bathrooms have a standard CO₂ emission of approx. 3 kg CO₂/m²/year.* This can help reduce the overall carbon footprint of construction projects that use our solutions.

We use materials that meet the requirements for use in Nordic Swan Ecolabelled construction, and our bathrooms can be adapted to meet the requirements of several certification schemes – including DGNB and BREEAM. Green Box modules have been used in certified hotel buildings, for example.
