Hotel Quadrum

In the middle of the new Quadrumkvartal neighbourhood in Kristiansand, Norway, Comfort Hotel Quadrum towers like a beacon – and Green Box is supplying 243 bathrooms for the hotel rooms.

New district takes shape

In the heart of Kristiansand, a new urban neighbourhood is emerging. Quadrumkvartalet is a major urban development project that brings together offices, shops, hotels and city life in a modern and sustainable area. Behind the initiative is Bane NOR Eiendom, which has been working for several years to transform the area into a vibrant and attractive centre for both business and experiences.

Operated by the Strawberry hotel group, Comfort Hotel Quadrum will be one of the most prominent buildings in the neighbourhood. The 15-floor hotel with 243 rooms will be a new meeting place for both locals and travellers. As part of the project, Green Box delivers prefabricated bathrooms for the hotel rooms – produced ready-made in the factory and adapted to the modern building in terms of both design and function.

Comfort Hotel Quadrum will be part of Quadrum Port, where a 13-floor office building is also being built. The project will boast a total gross area of around 26,300 square metres. The building is being constructed with high environmental ambitions and will be certified according to BREEAM-NOR Excellent and energy class A, in line with the EU taxonomy for sustainable buildings.

Prefabricated bathrooms for hotel rooms

The prefabricated bathrooms from Green Box are manufactured at our own factory in Denmark. Each bathroom is delivered fully fitted with tiles, sanitary installations, fittings and technical installations before leaving production.

Once the modules are ready, they are transported to Kristiansand and lifted directly into place in the building and connected to the technical systems. This method ensures an efficient process and high precision in a construction project with many activities taking place in parallel.

The prefabricated solution also provides a uniform quality and finish across the hotel’s many rooms. This means that the bathrooms are seamlessly integrated into the building and contribute to a smooth construction process with a focus on efficiency, quality and reliability.

Modern hotel in new district

When Comfort Hotel Quadrum according to plan is completed in 2026, it will be a key element in Kristiansand’s new urban development. The hotel will stand out as a visible landmark in the cityscape – between history, city life and tomorrow’s architecture.

With the delivery of prefabricated bathrooms, Green Box contributes to a building where modern construction techniques and sustainable solutions go hand in hand. First delivery will take place in autumn 2025.
